Hunt for the Wilderpeople was unexpectedly wonderful. A movie like this is rare. I hope Orchard Movies makes more like this.

 

When it comes to world war there are a lot good movies out there. But very few of there a comady. And even out of these there are very few one which we could say that it's a good comady movie based on world war and this is one of them.
The thing which makes this movie different from rest of world war movies were that most of the world war movies either shows people fighting in the war for their country or misery of people leaving in that time period( in short basically the serious stuff. Though in this movie also those serious stuffs are being showing but the way in which the story moves on makes them funny and some times emotional also.
The second thing which i liked about thing one was that there are very few movies depicting the world war through the eye of a child and that also of a Nazi kid makes it more special.
The funny interaction of the Jojo and the Hitler also adds a charm in the movie. Overall this movie is good and is not going to make you feel bored even not a single time. This movie is just flawless.

I wish we could've seen more of Captain K and Frinkle, there relationship added a lot to the comedy and world building. I just wonder, when we talk about today's easily-offended culture to which culture we might be comparing it to? Which time and/or place was the idyllic historical apex of free speech? Because I've generally found that whichever period people think that is (their own childhoods usually) was just the one where the jokes weren't at their own expense. It's also emphatically false that the freedom that allows satirists to make films is the same one that allows Nazis to march in Charleston, and it's the failure to distinguish between the two that ACTUALLY makes the fight for a free society so damn difficult.

The endless Heil Hitler greetings with Steven Merchant and his Gestapo gang was hilarious even as it was supposed to be terrifying and tense the situation was of what would happen if they discovered Elsa. He oozes slightly drunk, fun loving regular at the bar energy.
